1.
Lord we wait for your kingdom to come For your holy reign of righteousness and love We’re crying out, we’re begging on our knees Come rescue us, Messiah, our King You’re the hope of the whole world, praise the King who saves us We’re longing for your presence now, it’s only you who frees us Lord we need your glory to come That will reconcile this broken world to one. And free our hearts from sin’s binding chains Deliver us, Messiah, our King Hear the broken whispers of those in pain, and the desperate outcries of those enslaved Those with empty stomachs, and ones who suffer hate Would you come. Would you come Come dwell with us our Lord Let your presence heal this world Let the powers fall as Love will reign As death will be no more
2.
Steadfast 05:30
Lord I remember, you've always been faithful Lord I remember, I've always been your child But how can I praise you, when I turn so quickly? How can I praise you, when my hands are empty? Your love’s been calling out from the start To join in the journey of Your heart I long to walk with you, but I often turn away Help me to walk in steadfast love O Lord I've wronged you, I've walked my own path Off of the journey, that’s bound in our pact Can I repay you? Shall I give offering? But you long for much more, you want what's lasting All you want is all my heart-- In everything to let you be God So in steadfast love and obedience I give my life into your hands
3.
I got no money. I spent it all Wasted on everything that left me all alone I just keep searching for what I think want most I’ve tried to get my fill and I’m left just wanting more I’m poor and empty, broke to the bone All the strength I had to give has long gone out the door What do I have now? Just this heart in my chest But that only finds its beat with your help at best You are all I have I’m dust, born of this broken land You are all I have I’m ash, reviving by Your hand You’ve made your will clear, I know what’s right But I keep on holding back from taking up your life I see where it’s left me, I see who I am. A naked and shameful one in need of your clothing hand. Help me to realize, help me to know The moment I turn from you I’m empty and poor No matter what I say, despite what good I do There’s nothing in this world that’s saving me but you.
4.
You’ve breathed into dust, ignited the ash—we’re revived anew The power of your cross pervading through—restoring all things to You Oh Spirit you’re our life, the very breath we breathe—empower us to see Examine our hearts, transform our minds—to who we’re meant to be Today you’ve come, you breathe on us, you breathe on us The Present One, you sustain us you sustain us To You we come, Come shape us, oh come shape us Through you we love, so breathe in us, breathe in us We’re looking to you to lead us to be—Your love for this world We’re depending on You, Spirit form all we are—to reflect your compassion

about

This is an album for the Church. The Church Year calendar has existed for centuries to enable the Church enter into God's story as God's people through guided worship in the particular "perspectives," or movements of the seasons of the Liturgical Year: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, and Ordinary Time. My hope is that the music and lyrics of these songs would help you understand the seasons and see the depth of life that they breathe into us as God's people, that you would be empowered to engage in the life of faith through the different perspective and focus that each season provides, and that through doing so you would find a deeper love and commitment to God, the Church, and the witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the world.
I really encourage you to click on each track to learn about each song and the season it represents. For any thoughts, questions, or song charts, feel free to send me an email at evanamo1@gmail.com.
